HP's first UHF generator, 1800 to 4000 MHz. Employs a reflex klystron oscillator. The klystron tube, and it's associated mechanical tuning cavity, are the only components that are related to actually generating the output signal. All other components are simply “support” for the klystron, such as the power supply, and monitoring of the output signal.
